BESA AWARD FOR CASWELL APPRENTICE

Caswell are very proud of our apprentice, George Lowthion, who was a deserved finalist for the Building Services Engineer Apprentice of the Year Award at the BESA North West Awards 2019. These Awards recognise people within the building services industry who have had outstanding achievements over the past year.

First-year HNC apprentice George - who balances his studies with a full-time role here at Caswell - received the ‘Highly Commended’ Award. Apparently, it is both unusual for this accolade to be presented and for a first-year apprentice to attain this level of recognition.

This shows just how tight the final judging was…so all the more credit to George.

George asked that a mention was made of all the support he receives from the Directors and colleagues at Caswell, with a particular ‘shout out’ for Richard Coxen, Tom Coxen and Eddie Philpott, his day-to-day mentor.

It was actually a very busy day for George and his girlfriend, Sammy Jacovelli, who attended both the formal BESA Awards function and, earlier in the day, our Caswell 50th Anniversary Family Fun Day.

On a (rare) scorching-hot day, employees, ex-employees and their families joined the Directors to celebrate this company landmark at Northern Whisper’s Kiln Clough Farm venue overlooking the stunning Rossendale valley.
