On 19th October 2017, Alan Davies, Production Manager at C. Caswell Engineering Services was honoured at the BESA National Awards 2017 for his significant contribution to the creation and development of the industry’s ‘Trailblazer Apprenticeship’ scheme.   

Chairman, Richard Coxen, commented:

“Apprenticeships are vital to our industry and provide a great way to combine study with practical experience in a work environment. We are delighted to have been involved with the BESA Specialist Working Group in the development of the Trailblazer Apprenticeship scheme from its inception. Alan did a great job."

Lindsay Gillespie, BESA Skills Development & Policy Co-ordinator - Education & Skills, added

"Alan brought his experience as an industry practitioner and qualified NVQ assessor to help ensure that future ductwork apprentices will be trained in the skills industry needs and have them effectively measured." 

Alan played a key role and Caswell are pleased to have been able to support him. Given the considerable time, travel and cost investment over the past 2 years, it is gratifying to see that his dedication has been acknowledged by BESA with such a prestigious award.
