Theo Balshaw - Caswell Apprentice
Here’s another employee we’d like to spotlight in National Apprenticeship Week.

Theo joined Caswell as a general Labourer back in the autumn 2019 but since October last year has embarked on his Apprenticeship as a Fabricator / Welder. Much of this work currently revolves around CASWELL FIRESAFE® Fire Resisting Ductwork and fabrications for our Restaurant Ventilation projects.

Theo is working towards an EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard). He grabbed the chance to follow the Apprenticeship route to learn new skills, gain confidence and valuable knowledge which will help him progress in the workshop and beyond. He rightly points out that he gets paid whilst being trained in order to advance his career; an important, practical point which many overlook.

Theo is looking to a bright future and has already identified that part of his 10-year plan is to reach the level of Production Manager.
With vision and a positive attitude like that, we’ve no doubt you’ll get there, Theo!
